Albarello is an Italian word derived from "albo"meaning white, and is used to denote a type of jar that is vetically constructed, whith a cylindrical shape, a wide base and a spout, and slightly narrowing walls. It is a jar that occasionally came with a cover.

The Albarello was usually employed as a jar for pharmacy use, using et to store and classify various chemical products, medicinal plants and all those concoctions and unpalatable drinks that made up man's original pharmacopoeia. The most modern ones come with a corbel, listing the name of the compounds they contain.

The Albarello followed the same techniques of decoration as the rest of the pieces of Golden Pottery, with many heraldic, faunal and figuratice motifs.

ALBARELLO OF THE EAGLE

A pharmacy container with a lid, decorated with a heraldic central motif representing an eagle in cobalt blue.
It has a lower ornametal border with cufic calligraphic stylizations with the inscription : "The Lion and the Tiger".

ALBARELLO OF ATAURIQUES

Albarello of Nazarite inspiration, decoration based on fine golden atauriques placed symmetrically in a vertical band, alternatimg with another one of floral stylizations in cobalt blue.
Size can be 50 x 25 cm. and 30,5 x 14 cm.

NAZARITE ALBARELLO

A piece of Nazarite inspiration, decoraded with pointed arches in blue Filled with alternating cobalt blue bow-like designs and golden "atauriques".
Size is 30,5 x 14 cm.

CHECKERED ALBARELLO

A true replica of the Nazarite checkered Albarello of the fifteenth century. The original belongs to the Victoria and Albert Museum in London.
Size can be 50 x 25cm. and 30 x 14cm.

ALBARELLO OF THE CIRCLES

It is based on another Nazarite piece decorated with spurs, in cobalt blue along the neck and bands of golden circles with floral motifs, framing a great central ornamental band of calligraphic stylizations.
Size can be 50 x 25 cm. and 30,5 x 14 cm.

ALBARELLO WITH BOW-LIKE DESIGNS AND SHIELDS

A true replica of a Nazarite Albarello decorated with horizontal ornamental bands of circles with heraldic motifs and bow-life designs in chain stitch.
The original of the fifteenth century is located at the Valencia od Don Juan Museum, in Madrid.
Size be can 50 x 25 cm. and 30,5 x 14 cm.

ALBARELLO OF THE CHAIN STITCH

A piece with chain stitch in a negative manner, over a golden background along the neck. In the same body, two wide golden bands frame vertical ornamental bands alternating with box-like designs in cobalt blue, and golden atauriques with rhomboidal reticles.
Size is 30,5 x 14 cm.

ALBARELLO OF THE LADIES

Teplica of the Albarello with figurative decoration; the original is of the fifteenth century, from Manises, and can be found in the Valencia of Don Juan in Madrid.
Size is 30,5 x 14 cm.

ALBARELLO WITH OVAL SHAPES AND BOW-LIKE DESIGNS

A chemist's jar with a lid. It has as a central motif with heraldic medallions with dragons in cobalt blue separated by symmetrical oval shapes. The final touch is an ornamental band of bow-life designand arches over golden atauriques.
Size can be 60x 25 cm. and 35 x 15 cm.
